Meet Dr. Jaime Tschen, M.D.

Dr. Jaime Tschen, M.D.

Dr. Jaime Tschen graduated with honors in 1974 from the University of San Carlos School of Medicine in Guatemala City, Guatemala. Upon completing his internship with the Guatemala City Military Hospital, Dr. Tschen moved his family to Houston, Texas. Following 8 years in residency at the Baylor College of Medicine, he received Board Certifications in Anatomic Pathology in 1978; and in Dermatology and Dermatopathology in 1981.

After 9 years of honing his skills in both Dermatopathology and Dermatology with the Baylor College of Medicine, Dr. Tschen decided to move to private practice and in 1990 founded St. Joseph Dermatopathology where he continues to practice both Dermatopathology and Dermatology. Dr. Tschen is recognized by his peers as one of the top Dermatopathologists and Dermatologists in this country. Dr. Tschen has over 100 academic articles on his research efforts published in medicine's most recognized journals.

Dr. Tschen's expertise in Dermatology has proven to be an invaluable asset in his practice of Dermatopathology. His clinical experience in Dermatology allows him what could be considered a more practical understanding of the clinical notes on a pathology requisition and also allows him a greater ease in communicating and understanding other clinicians. Dr. Tschen is always available to speak with the referring physician to discuss findings and to offer insight and treatment possibilities if requested.
